Our Policies

1. Who We Are

We’re not a travel agency—we’re your surf and travel guides! At Rainbow Surf Retreats, we share our favorite spots and experiences to give you the holiday you’ve been dreaming of. We work with trusted local hotels and surf schools to make it all happen.

2. Travel Insurance is a Must

For your safety, travel insurance is required for all participants.

  • Make sure your insurance includes surfing and ocean rescue. Some policies consider surfing an “extreme sport,” so double-check!

  • Your insurance should also include cancellation coverage—it’s always good to be prepared for the unexpected.

3. If We or You Have to Cancel

Sometimes things don’t go as planned, but here’s how we handle cancellations:

  • If we cancel (due to situations like weather, issues with local providers, or unforeseen events), you’ll get a full refund of your deposit. However, we can’t reimburse extra costs like flights.

  • If you cancel, we’ll refund your fee if we or you can find someone to take your spot.

    • If your cancellation is less than 2 weeks before the retreat, unfortunately, we can’t refund your deposit anymore.

4. Your Responsibility as a Guest

You’re here to enjoy yourself, but we do ask everyone to be respectful and considerate.

  • Everyone on the retreat is responsible for their own actions.

  • If any behavior negatively affects the group like causing trouble at the hotel, disrespecting locals, or breaking the law, we may have to ask you to leave the retreat without a refund.

5. Creating a Safe and Inclusive Space

We’re proud to offer an LGBTQ+ retreat where everyone can feel welcome.

  • We carefully choose hotels that are inclusive and safe for our group.

  • While we do our best to create a safe space within the retreat, please be mindful that local attitudes toward LGBTQ+ individuals vary depending on the destination.

  • Respecting local customs and cultures is key. By doing so, we hope to leave a positive impression as a group!

6. Nudity and Public Displays of Affection

A quick heads-up:

  • Nudity isn’t allowed on our retreats.

  • In some destinations, public displays of affection (for any couple, regardless of orientation) might not be welcome or even legal. Let’s respect these cultural differences while being true to ourselves.

7. Traveling with Surfboards

If you’re bringing your own surfboard, make sure to check your airline’s policy in advance. Some airlines are stricter than others. Feel free to ask us for advice—we’ve dealt with a few airline quirks in our time!

8. Food and Allergies

We want you to enjoy every meal, so please let us know about any dietary restrictions or allergies well before the retreat. We’ll do our best to accommodate you.

9. Rooming and Snoring

We get it—some of us snore, and that’s okay! But if you know you’re a loud snorer, consider booking a single room to ensure everyone gets a good night’s sleep. Your fellow surfers will thank you!

10. Questions? Concerns? We’re Here for You!

Our door and inbox are always open. If you have any questions, doubts, or need help with anything, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to make this retreat as amazing as possible for you.

11. Safety First

Surfing is exciting but comes with risks. You’ll need to follow the safety guidelines we provide during the retreat and take care of yourself. That’s why the travel insurance mentioned earlier is so important—it’s there to protect you.

12. Legal Stuff

We hope everything goes perfectly, but in case of any issues:

  • This retreat is organized under Spanish law.

  • By booking, you’re agreeing to these terms and conditions and understand that any disputes will be handled in Spanish courts.

Underwater

We can’t wait to surf, laugh, and explore with you. Thank you for taking the time to read through this—it helps us create a better experience for everyone. See you on the waves!
